ABOUT ABOUT

An Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) plan is part of the solution for businesses to reach green credentials.

These plans are becoming a bigger part of winning new contracts, supply chain engagement, retaining talent and being at the forefront for consumer choice.

In a world facing complex social, economic, and environmental challenges, businesses are increasingly under pressure to adopt sustainable practices. Sustainability ROX is a new B2B strategic live event platform that is designed to help businesses in the UK achieve their Net Zero goals by providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to make a positive impact on the environment and the economy.

The first live event day to be announced is with one of the UK’s leading sustainability focused brands, De Montfort University. Sustainable Design will be held on 5th of March at their Leicester campus, where delegates and businesses can meet staff with a wealth of industry experience, and talk to academics at the cutting edge of Sustainable Design and Textiles and Materials research.

Delegates will be able to undertake a 1:1 discovery session to help find out which service will suit their business’ sustainability innovation needs, and can also book a personalised tour of the faculty’s industry-standard facilities. A programme of workshops for companies has been planned to showcase a mix of students’ work and industry partnerships. The university’s Design Unit collaborates with ambitious businesses, including those in design, fashion and textiles, to support them to innovate and grow.

At LBF 2023, Louise Holland and Helen D’Amario at Holland Alexander, designers and producers of this live event series, will explain more around why you need Sustainability ROX in your diary. Director of the Design Unit and Deputy Dean for Arts, Design and Humanities, Professor Christine White will guide you through carbon literacy training session to help your business towards reducing carbon emissions, and give you a taster of what Sustainable Design on the 5th March will bring.
